Justin Loyd is a writer, free-speech advocate, and musician. His work and philosophy are influenced by his interest in nature, culture, and society. Justin’s writing has been described as "stream of consciousness". The Dust Storm and Other Writings is a collection of short stories and poems is available now.
Justin was raised in Beloit, WI. As a teenager he cut his artistic teeth playing guitar and bass in nightclubs around Wisconsin and Illinois. and earned a BS in Anthropology and Sociology from a small college in Illinois. As a Junior he won the Delman Prize for Anthropology. Justin was also defensive back on the football team.
Justin's tale of aching reality "Thirst" was first published in the Anthology Memoirs of the Southwest in 2013 from Two Cats Press. Justin was honored as the Editors Choice for New Talent.
Justin currently resides in Davis, CA with his children where he continues to hone his craft. His debut novel “Grim Road” is going through a final edit before publication.
